Emergent coherence and percolative transport at the edge of magnetism in low-doped La2-xSrxCuO4+δ

Система La2-xSrxCuO4+δ (LSCO) є універсальною експериментальною платформою для дослідження взаємодії магнетизму, надпровідності та невпорядкованості в легованих купратах у широкому діапазоні концентрацій носіїв заряду. Дослідження транспортних властивостей у слабко легованих та збагачених киснем зразках LSCO виявляють ізоляційний характер провідності, що визначається механізмом стрибкового переносу зі змінною довжиною стрибка, який супроводжується вираженою нелінійністю вольт-амперних характеристик і, за низьких температур, появою від’ємного диференційного опору, індукованого струмом. З підвищенням рівня легування ці особливості поступово еволюціонують у режими, що характеризуються гранулярною та перколяційною надпровідністю поблизу порогу перколяції, зрештою, переходячи до однорідного аномального металевого стану (strange metal) при оптимальному легуванні. У ході цієї еволюції транспортні властивості демонструють високу чутливість до стехіометричної невпорядкованості, електронної неоднорідності та зовнішніх параметрів, таких як вимірювальний струм та магнітне поле. Спостережувана послідовність транспортних режимів може бути розглянута як безперервний кросовер від моттівського ізоляційного стану до гранулярної надпровідності і далі до когерентного металевого стану, який зумовлений поступовим посиленням електронного екранування, взаємодії між провідними областями та надпровідної зв’язності, а не різкими змінами мікроскопічних механізмів розсіяння. У сукупності наявні транспортні дані формують узгоджену експериментальну основу для обговорення ролі невпорядкованості та мезоскопічної неоднорідності у формуванні транспортних властивостей і надпровідності на всій фазовій діаграмі LSCO, підкреслюючи важливість перколяційних і нерівноважних ефектів у неоптимально легованих купратах. У роботі раніше опубліковані результати транспортних і магнітотранспортних досліджень LSCO переосмислюються в рамках єдиної феноменологічної моделі, що акцентує увагу на невпорядкованості, мезоскопічній неоднорідності, перколяційній зв’язаності та нерівноважному перенесенні заряду в межах всієї фазової діаграми.
