Abstract
In insulating compounds R1–xAxMnO3, the role of orbital ordering in magnetic competition is emphasized. The conditions of ordered state’s destruction are estimated. The ranges of orbital structure mixing angles to form frustrated or low-dimensional magnetic structures are determined. The influence of nonlinear and nonlocal terms of vibronic interaction on orbital ordering and magnetic structure are discussed. The possible magnetic structures are described.
