Low-amplitude jump-like deformation of Pb-27 at.% In alloy in superconducting and normal states in the temperature range 1.65-4.2 KV.P. Lebedev, V.S. Krylovskiy, and S.V. Lebedev V. Karazin Kharkov National University, 4 Svobody Sq., Kharkov 61077, Ukraine Received November 18, 2010, reseived December 24, 2010 Abstract For polycrystals of the Pb–27 at.% In alloy the instability of plastic flow of different amplitude was studied in the interval 1,65–4,2 K and in different states of the electronic system. The drops of deformation stress with amplitude δσdr = (1–20)·104 Pa and concentration ndr = 10–250 were observed in the superconducting state of the alloy at temperatures between 4,2 and 2 K. At lower temperatures 2.2–1.65 K the low-amplitude instability manifests itself in the normal state of the alloy with jump amplitude δσdr = (1–20)·104 Pa and concentration ndr = 10–250, against the background of which with developing deformation there occur jumps δσdr = 0,5–2 MPa. The mechanisms of jump-like deformation of the alloy in different temperature ranges are discussed.
