Abstract

For polycrystals of the Pb–27 at.% In alloy the instability of plastic flow of different amplitude was studied in the interval 1,65–4,2 K and in different states of the electronic system. The drops of deformation stress with amplitude δσdr = (1–20)·104 Pa and concentration ndr = 10–250 were observed in the superconducting state of the alloy at temperatures between 4,2 and 2 K. At lower temperatures 2.2–1.65 K the low-amplitude instability manifests itself in the normal state of the alloy with jump amplitude δσdr = (1–20)·104 Pa and concentration ndr = 10–250, against the background of which with developing deformation there occur jumps δσdr = 0,5–2 MPa. The mechanisms of jump-like deformation of the alloy in different temperature ranges are discussed.
